    Black History Month

Celebrating the contributions of black, Asian and ethnic minority nurses, healthcare workers and leaders who are making history right now.

We should remember the contributions of black, Asian and ethnic minority Nurses, healthcare workers and leaders & be grateful for it every day. Their amazing contribution in protecting the health of our nation is making history right now.

The pandemic presented huge problems for all healthcare staff especially for black, Asian and ethnic minority nurses. They were also the most ill-equipped to help fight the pandemic – they had huge problems with accessing suitable personal protective equipment (PPE) that was primarily designed for white European faces. They have risked their own lives to save others. The way they responded to the pandemic emergency was amazing and we should feel grateful for it. The death rate of them was high during this pandemic but still they continued to do their duty. They have made tremendous sacrifices to respond to the needs of their patients.
