You’ll be working with psychologists, psychiatrists, social workers, occupational therapists, arts therapists & healthcare assistants.
Your job is to form strong bonds with people who need mental health services. You might assist one person in properly taking their medication while advising another on appropriate therapies or social activities.
You’ll most likely work in hospitals, such as in a mental ward or a specialist unit, or in the community, such as in a community health centre or someone’s home. You may work shifts and give 24-hour care if you work in a residential setting.
