    Social Care Day of Remembrance and Reflection

    If you’re a Social Care Worker, you have had a particularly difficult year, as have continued to work relentlessly & make significant sacrifices in the face of the pandemic. Between March 2020 & May 2021, an estimated 922 social care professionals in England have tragically lost their lives.

    The purpose of Social Care Day of Remembrance and Reflection (which will be commemorated on 17th March) is to say thank you to all the social care workers who offered critical care & support during these difficult times, as well as to remember those who we have tragically lost.

    Saying thank you & sharing tribute

    People are being encouraged to share tributes,  to care workers lost during the pandemic & say thank you to those who provided vital support,  on A Memorial Wall and Thank You Wall, launched on The Care Workers’ Charity website .

    Get involved

    Planting a tree in remembrance of a lost care worker, having  a minute of silence, or making a piece of art are just few other ways in which care workers, care providers & any other individuals can participate on the day.
